The Ohio State Football Team That Doesn't Exist
Ohio State Football invokes a lot of different memories in a lot of different people. Almost any dedicated fan can tell you their favorite player, favorite play, favorite game, favorite coach, and more in the blink of an eye. Considering that Ohio State football is one of the most followed sports teams in the entire world, that’s quite a lot of memories-and, given that Ohio State has won 880 games1 throughout the history of their football program, it’s reasonable that a lot o

Let's Talk About This
When you think of the people playing in the National Football League, you probably have a certain image inside your head. If you’ve really watched an NFL game at any point in your life, you can picture what an NFL football player looks like. For those of us who know the game well, you probably think of a handful of guys who are among the most elite, stars who transcend the gridiron and grab the eyes of far more Americans than solely the NFL audience can encompass-folks like T

Purpose is Everything
My name is Danielle, and I am a senior with a major in the Communication Arts program here at Wilmington College, due to graduate this December. I am a successful first-generation college student, and I wanted to share the short story of my road to this campus before I graduated this year. I hail from California and am older than my peers, also; I am a single parent of almost-college-age kids. My path here to this college has not been an easy one, but one filled with numerous

Undefeated
Today’s article begins with a simple question: What are your priorities for the week? Most will probably answer this question by describing a list of schoolwork they need to accomplish. Maybe there’s a project you’re working on, a big paper due. Maybe you’re even one of the people facing their final college projects, preparing to complete your degree and walk across the stage in May. If you’re an athlete, you may be thinking about some of the things you believe you can do in

Stand By The Old
Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote that “we are reformers in Spring and Summer; in autumn and winter we stand by the old.” (1) Emerson was speaking of the difference between a conservative (in a literal sense, not in a political sense) and a reformer. “Conservatism makes no poetry, breathes no prayer, has no invention; it is all memory,” he wrote. “Reform has no gratitude, no prudence, no husbandry.” Emerson must have had access to a crystal ball, because despite being deceased

6 Practical Ways to Strengthen Your Friendships Offline
As the colder months creep in, we must do our best to surround ourselves with love and connection this year. It’s easy to hide under the covers and doomscroll when seasonal depression begins to move into your headspace. Every year around November, I notice my friendships begin to weaken. I’ll go months without meaningful time with people I see very frequently in the summer. We have no control over the weather. We have very little control over our phone addiction, especially a
